A few weeks ago Quilters Dream contacted me and asked to send me some of their fun products to try, and I love Quilters Dream, so I said YES!
I keep a couple packages of Quilters Dream “Request” Loft cotton batting around because it’s super thin, which I like for two reasons: Less bulk in seams for pouches and less bulk to shove through my sewing machine when I’m quilting. For someone who isn’t a quilter and doesn’t know all of the tricks of how to roll up a quilt or do sections at a time, I like that.
The first product was Dream Puff – which is FUN. It’s like, maybe half the thickness of what you’d find in a standard comforter, which is PERFECT for little doggie comforters. You will always find my dogs on a blanket, even if that blanket is folded up sitting on the floor in the hallway waiting to be put back in the closet. (They are weird, although I think all dogs are weird.) Instead of washing big throws all the time, I like having little mini blankets for my little mini dogs. It’s super simple – just 2 yards of fabric stitched RST, turned and quilted.
Again, I like that thickness, or lack of it. I skipped the interfacing on this so you can see just how thin the Request Loft is. Perfect for Easy Zippy Pouches!
You can find Quilters Dream batting at your local quilt shop! Thank you for sending me this fun stuff!
